spectacular celebration of International Dance Day in Guatemala

Guatemala has an expressive tradition of the body that has more than 50 years of existence and therefore participated in the celebrations International Day of Dance. At the start of the commemoration activities, were introduced this April 27 in the room "Efraín Recinos" Cultural Center Miguel Angel Asturias, arts groups in order to continue to show the public the practice of ancestral dancing as a skill where the body language used to communicate a story, a teaching, a tradition of a people. With a whole roomful held the day of the presentation of dance troupes from schools, colleges and students.


Likewise, on April 29 at the Great Hall of Miguel Angel Asturias Cultural Center presented the National Ballet of Guatemala with an excerpt from the play "Coppelia" and the National Folkloric Ballet and Modern with the premiere of the work "Historia de un Torero," "Who Am I" and "Choreography of Ileana Flores' work of modern character, which was appreciated by the audience.
